Back in about 1965, the Dave Brubeck Quartet, a progressive jazz group in the US, recorded a series of three phonodisks (“Time Out”, “Time Further Out”, “Time in Outer Space”) in which they combined the harmonic and melodic material of progressive jazz with rhythms which they freely and gratefully acknowledged were Greek in origin. Tonight, 47 years later, thanks to you, I finally have heard those rhythms in their original context. Many thanks!

I love Dave Brubeck (yet I do not know if, at 92 he is still productive).

But, there is more … lyrics of these songs are forbidden in Greece…
